We built Away Message to help you share what you're up to with close friends, not to sell your data. This policy describes what information we collect and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your authentication ID, display name, and profile picture to create your account.
• User Content: We store the statuses, photos, and text you post. Statuses are designed to be temporary; once they expire, they are removed from view and the associated text and photos are deleted.
• Connections: We store information about who you are connected with to ensure you only share content with people you choose.
• Location Data (Optional): If you choose to add a location to your status, we store the coordinate and place name. This is only used to display the location on your status card.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to provide the Away Message service:

• To display your status to your connected friends.
• To notify you when friends post updates or request to connect (if notifications are enabled).
• To facilitate the "Add Friend" features via codes and links.

3. Data Storage and Safety

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. User Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and Correction: You can view and edit your profile and active status directly in the app.
• Deletion: You can delete your account at any time within the app settings. This permanently removes your personal data and connections from our servers.
